How to engage Powered Sites
Enquiry → scoping conversation → proposal for the first delivery → written order → work → a shared next decision.
Defined scope before commitment
We agree the questions, deliverables and fee before a paid assignment begins. Specialist studies and third-party costs are identified separately. Fees are written in the proposal, not as a price list here.
What shapes the scope and fee?
Start with the decision you need to make. Reviewing one defined property before a meeting is a different assignment from finding and comparing candidates across several regions. These questions help us propose a first step you can commission and review.
- How many sites and questions are included?
- Specify the geography, candidate count and requirements that should stay constant across the comparison. Another region, property or load definition may change the scope.
- How usable is the existing evidence?
- A dated map, a clear brief and an organised document index make the review easier to define. Missing documents first need to be identified, obtained or left as open questions.
- Which specialist inputs are needed?
- A review of existing documents and a new technical study are different deliverables. Grid, planning, environmental and other specialist inputs are described separately when needed.
- What is the deliverable and who will use it?
- Explain whether the next step needs a short decision note, a candidate comparison or a more extensive document pack. Languages, attachments, review meetings and review scope need to be included.
- Which responses and decisions are dependencies?
- Separate your preferred decision date from dependencies on the landowner, grid company, municipality and buyer. This shows what can be done now and what needs to wait.
Two examples of a defined first step
Illustrative assignments, not proposals or completed client projects.
- One identified property with mapping: define which existing documents to review and produce a list of blocking questions for the next decision. New specialist studies can then be commissioned against the remaining questions.
- Two possible regions without an agreed requirements brief: start with the brief and search boundaries. Then decide whether to commission a candidate search and which comparable criteria it should use.
You can prepare a requirements brief and record what is available in the document checklist. Unknown information can stay open in your first enquiry.
What an enquiry is not
Not a paid order, site reservation, grid application or publication mandate. Website terms are not an assignment contract.
Development coordination
Ongoing coordination is offered after a defined first step, once mandate, resources and a cost frame are decided. It is not a turnkey construction contract.
Paid work
Paid work starts after a written order. Fees are written in the proposal.
What the proposal sets out
The proposal sets out the buyer, question, geography and object count, inputs, deliverables, language, reviewer, assumptions, exclusions, fee form, external costs and customer participation.
If the scope changes
If new evidence changes the scope, a change proposal is approved before extra work is done. Waiting for customer inputs or external parties stays separate from Powered Sites’ own delivery time.
